Catalyst for Courage
Helping you ignite hope and catalyze courage in the midst of infertility, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy after infertility & loss.
courage: (noun) | cour·age | ˈkər-ij , ˈkə-rij
The dictionary defines courage in two ways. The first definition says that courage is the ability to do something that frightens you. The second definition defines courage as strength in the face of pain or grief.
While going through infertility, pregnancy or infant loss, or navigating life after infertility or loss, we need both types of courage. The fear surrounding infertility and loss is very real. Fear that you may never become a mother. Fear of experiencing another loss. Fear that you will never feel like yourself again. Fear that you will never give your only child a sibling. Fear that your marriage can’t possibly survive this. Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown.
The fear, trauma, stress, anxiety, and grief that surround infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy after loss, and new motherhood isn't something you should go through alone. I’ve learned through my own journey and through the journey of others that even the smallest acts of courage can lead to extraordinary breakthrough.
We need support on our journey of getting pregnant, staying pregnant, and navigating pregnancy loss and life afterward. My greatest hope is to help you create a catalyst for courage as you navigate your journey.
Hi, I’m Lindsay!
I'm a Certified Trauma Specialist, Fertility Coach, and Birth & Bereavement Doula helping women navigate the difficult journeys of infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and life after infertility and loss.
I'm so grateful you’re here. It's not always easy to ask for help, and I know from my own personal experience how overwhelming the journey to motherhood can be.
Catalyst for Courage was born out of a desire to be able to give others the support, knowledge, tools, and community I wish I had when I was going through the darkest, hardest, and loneliest parts of my story. You are the reason I created Catalyst for Courage.
My greatest wish is to help support you as you navigate through your journey.
You are not alone, friend.
You are not alone in your pain. You are not alone in your anger. You are not alone in your doubt. You are not alone in your waiting. You are not alone in your suffering. You are not alone in your grief.
Acknowledging the losses and being willing to sit with our feelings of grief instead of trying to bury them or run from them takes a heck of a lot of courage and vulnerability, and that can feel really risky and scary.
Maybe you don’t feel courageous today. Maybe your just heart feels too incredibly weary you’re just sick of having to try to “be strong”. If that’s you, I want you to know that that is OK. This is me giving you permission not to not have to feel brave or strong or courageous. This is me telling you you don’t have to fake it… not here… and definitely not with me.
This process of vulnerably leaning into the most painful aspects of our stories isn’t always pretty or put together. This process of grieving our losses and this process of healing in our hearts isn’t linear, and it can look and feel really messy at times. Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here just as you are. Your anger, your fear, your doubt, your confusion, your questions, your weariness, your anxiety, your trauma, your pain, and your suffering are all welcome here. I’m believing that your story isn’t over and that this won’t always feel as hard as it feels right now.
